Remember that there are a few things to watch for on this blog:
  • Have I posted a Gabcast with a Question and Answer Flow for a sentence you classified for homework?
  • Have I posted extra credit?
  • Are you interested in "publishing a piece of your writing" on the blog?

So...on that note- extra credit (5 points in Language)- post your answer as a comment (click on the words that say "0 comments") on the blog before 9 pm tomorrow night (Tuesday)...

6th grade- Leave a comment (on the blog), answering the following question: In the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, how has Edmund changed the most?" answer in at least 3 sentences...

7th grade: Leave a comment (on the blog), answering the following question: What did you like best about The Giver? what did you like the least?"

8th grade: Again, leave a comment (on the blog), answering the following question: " In what ways are you a better writer than 2 years go?"

Also, how are you doing on your AR goal? Remember that AR points = extra credit in Literature!

Have a blessed evening!

Mrs. Smith

ohh! yeah first one to be published on mrs smiths blog!5 extra credit points to Emily Engel![[score]]
anyways, i am a better writer because my grammar has soared since we started that 500 key words for SAT (6th graders pay attention to this i still know all my words and use them frequently ;) also, i have learned so many ways to write and that i have to meet the requirements and expectations on who my audience is. Also my technique is so much better. Again 6th graders.... when i was in 6th grade 5 paragraphs sounded crazy hard, now its a breeze, i promise once you get the hang of it, it truly gets easier (:

Emily wouldn't it be your vocabulary not grammar?
Edmund changed alot since the beginning of the book,The Lion,The Witch, and The Wardrobe. The biggest change in Edmund is his character. He used to be rude and just plain old MEAN, now he is kind and just. Also his health changed. He isn't so sickly now.

The thing I liked most about the story was when Jonas was given feelings, color, and memory by The Giver. What I disliked about the book was when Jonas ran away and almost died with Gabriel.

I like when Jonas became the giver and saved Gabriel from being released. I disliked the book very much when Jonas decided to run away. I also didnt like the way the book ended it didn't really have a godd conclusion.

Do i get Extra Credit????

Well like emily said the 500 key words helped a lot I find myself using the words all the time and I see them in books; and just reading has helped improve my writing tons.
